Y. Ping Sun, of counsel to Yetter Coleman, has been selected to co-chair the Grants committee for the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund that was launched by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge, Ed Emmett.
The Fund, which totals over $87 million, is focused on immediate and long-term relief efforts in Harris County, Houston, and surrounding areas, with oversight and adminstration provided by The Greater Houston Community Foundation. More details about the Relief Fund can be found here.
Ping will oversee distribution of grants that will be made in support of funding relief efforts to address gaps in aid to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Grants will fund shelter and temporary housing, food and supplies, healthcare, transportation, childcare, and other purposes as needed.
“This is just another in a long string of public service commitments that Ping, who also serves as Rice University First Lady, has tackled during her time in Houston,” reflects Paul Yetter. “Her continue dedication to Houston and the many causes she champions makes us all very proud to be her colleagues.”
