Yetter Coleman has bolstered its strong intellectual property trial group by adding leading litigators Bob McAughan and Jeff Andrews as partners to represent clients in the energy, technology, and finance industries.
Bob McAughan brings to the firm decades of experience in all facets of IP litigation and counseling, including patents, trade secrets, and trademarks. Jeff Andrews, who trained as a scientist prior to law school, has deep expertise in patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright disputes. Both have practiced together for years, most recently with IP litigation boutique Sutton McAughan Deaver. Previously, they practiced together at Locke Lord, where Bob was firm-wide head of both the IP Litigation Section and the Intellectual Property Department. Bob began his career at Arnold, White & Durkee, where he was a shareholder.
They have been recognized for practice excellence by Chambers and Partners, IAM Patent Litigation 1000, and Best Lawyers in America. According to Chambers, the “incredibly sharp” Bob McAughan has a “terrific reputation” for work across a range of IP matters, including litigation and transactional issues. Clients highlight his strong expertise: “He can really get up to speed with this side very quickly and holds his own in technical discussions.
“Bob and Jeff are widely respected as skilled IP litigators and tacticians who love to try cases,” said Paul Yetter, managing partner of Yetter Coleman. “Their deep experience and fearless approach to litigation is a perfect fit for us. With an already strong bench in our core IP practice group, they allow us to accelerate our first-tier IP services to our clients.”
“Yetter Coleman has built its reputation on the quality and depth of its trial and appellate practice and is known for tackling the toughest cases in court. That, combined with the strong symmetry between our clients, made joining the team an easy and exciting decision,” McAughan said. “Jeff and I look forward to practicing with this exceptional group of litigators and continuing their winning tradition.”
Yetter Coleman focuses on high-stakes business and technology litigation for plaintiffs and defendants in the energy, technology, and finance industries, in trials and appeals in three primary areas: contract/business tort, intellectual property, and antitrust/securities litigation.
