Appellate partner, April Farris, has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Fellows are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the State of Texas. Each year the top one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows. Following nomination, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.
April represents clients in high-stakes appellate matters including the Texas Citizens Participation Act appeals, business litigation, and oil and gas law. She brings to her representation the skills and experience that she honed as an assistant solicitor general for the State of Texas, where she litigated appeals on a broad array of topics. She is currently serving a three-year term on the Council of the Texas State Bar Appellate Section. She is also a co-chair of the Appellate Section’s Government Appellate Lawyers committee.
