Luke A. Schamel has joined Yetter Coleman as its newest associate.
Focused on complex commercial litigation, he brings experience representing and advising clients on antitrust issues and risks and on oil and gas litigation. He is skilled in managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, developing experts and strategy, briefing and arguing dispositive motions and appeals, and trial preparation. Before attending law school, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.
Luke received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School where he served as a Contributing Editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. Following graduation, he completed clerkships with Judge Edith B. Clement on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Judge Fernando Rodriguez, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and Justice John P. Devine in the Supreme Court of Texas.
Luke joins the firm after practicing with Norton Rose Fulbright in Houston.
“We are very pleased to welcome an outstanding associate like Luke to our firm,” said Tim McConn, partner. “His impressive background, including three clerkships, complements our exceptional roster of associates. He will add immediate value to several new cases we are handling for clients as we continue to experience strong demand for our trial services.”
