Yetter Coleman is pleased to announce the addition of Francisco Escobar-Calderon as an associate in the firm. Francisco brings a wealth of experience in complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on energy industry disputes.
Experience in Commercial Litigation
Francisco’s practice centers on representing clients in multi-party cases and class actions in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings. He has acted as the lead associate in a range of disputes, including royalty disputes, class actions, and other complex commercial matters. His experience encompasses overseeing associate and document review attorney teams through all phases of litigation, including appeals.
Background and Education
Prior to joining Yetter Coleman, Francisco was an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in Houston, where he represented energy industry clients in various complex disputes. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from The University of Alabama School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the Alabama Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, he served as a judicial intern for Judge L. Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Professional Qualifications
Francisco is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the District of Colorado. He is fluent in Spanish.
Commitment to the Legal Community
Francisco is an active member of the legal community, serving as an Advisory Board Member for the Institute for Energy Law and participating in its 2022-2023 Leadership Class. He is also a member of the Federalist Society’s Houston Lawyers Chapter and contributes to the Houston Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Program.
