Yetter Coleman partner Susanna Allen has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA).
This award honors an attorney who has made significant contributions to Houston’s legal community through their professional achievements, community involvement, and advancement of the legal profession.
HYLA will present Susanna with the award at its annual HYLF Law Day Celebration at the Houston Club on May 1.
Susanna handles complex and high-stakes commercial matters affecting highly scrutinized sectors across the country. A versatile commercial litigator, she is known for her strategic judgment and ability to lead teams through fast-moving, high-pressure matters. Susanna handles every stage of litigation, from pleadings through verdict. She has represented energy companies in high-stakes business disputes, technology clients in antitrust matters, and litigation trusts in bankruptcy-adjacent proceedings. She also regularly collaborates with co-counsel and serves as trusted local counsel for clients with complex matters in Texas state and federal courts.
As a member of Yetter Coleman’s recruitment committee, Susanna is deeply invested in identifying and mentoring the next generation of trial lawyers and building teams centered on collaboration. She is also passionate about her volunteer work with Girls on the Run, which empowers elementary-age girls with a combination of athletic training and life skills development. A native of Oxford, Mississippi, she’s made Texas home and is grateful be part of Houston’s vibrant legal community.
