Associate Jim Zucker was recently named co-chair of the Houston Bar Associations’ Communities in Schools Committee, which supports pairing at-risk high school students for paid, eight-week internships with law firms, in-house law departments, and legal agencies in an effort to support and empower them to stay in school. The participating firms and offices annually provide mentorship and college and career awareness to more than 60 participating high school students.
Education and scholastic achievement is a subject dear to Jim’s heart — prior to attending law school, he taught at a local north Houston elementary school as a member for Teach for America.
