The Houston SPCA has elected Tracy LeRoy to serve on its Board of Directors effective January 1, 2020.
LeRoy has served as the Houston SPCA’s long-time pro bono litigation counsel and most recently won two lawsuits in 2019 in Houston federal court over the 2015 rescue of the “Conroe 200” horses. The case is on appeal. LeRoy is also currently representing the Houston SPCA on a Houston federal court lawsuit over a rescue of over 200 cats from conditions found to constitute animal cruelty.
“As a life-long animal lover and rescue dog parent, it has been an extreme honor over the last five years to assist the Houston SPCA in its critical mission to fight animal cruelty,” says LeRoy, adding, “I am proud and excited to join its Board and look forward to making further contributions that help and protect animals in the Houston area.”
