Yetter Coleman is pleased to announce that Reagan Simpson will receive the 2020 Chief Justice Jack Pope Professionalism Award from the Texas Center for Legal Ethics. The award is presented annually to a judge or attorney who personifies the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in appellate law.
“Reagan’s career reflects decades of achieving hard-fought wins for his clients involving difficult and challenging circumstances,” says Paul Yetter, “He is universally considered by clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel as unfailingly professional and well-prepared, exemplifying integrity and honor in every interaction.
Regarded as one of the top appellate lawyers in Texas by Chambers and Partners, and named Houston Appellate Lawyer of the Year in 2010 and 2016 and Austin Appellate Lawyer of the Year in 2013 by Best Lawyers in America, Reagan also received the 2020 Gregory S. Coleman Outstanding Appellate Lawyer Award this spring from the Texas Bar Foundation. “Both of these awards are so well-deserved for Reagan and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see him receive this prestigious recognition,” observes Yetter.
The Texas Center for Legal Ethics promotes the values contained in the Texas Lawyer’s Creed and fulfills its founders’ vision to be the leading center of knowledge and resources for ethics and professionalism in Texas. The Pope Award is named for former Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Jack Pope, one of the Texas Center for Legal Ethics’ founders and the first individual to receive the Award in 2009. It will be presented to Simpson by Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Nathan Hecht at the Annual Texas Supreme Court Historical Society Dinner on Sept. 11 in Austin.
